Standardized Canonical Endpoints Registration for the AI economy
AIEndpointsRegistry.com
In an AI -Driven Economy, Discovery and Interaction is increasingly being done by AI Agents. Memorable traditional domain names are adapted to become Canonical AI Endpoint nodes. AI Agents use AI Endpoints for Discovery and Interaction
Canonical AI Endpoints are structured, concept-pure nodes that allow AI Agents to discover, authenticate, and transact with one another within legal frameworks like MLETR (Model Law on Electronic Transferable Records)
Core Capabilities
Canonical Endpoint Structure
Web2 & Web3 Compatibility
GTIN Token Integration
01
Namespace Stewards
Each Canonical AI Endpoint will have a Namespace whose steward whose role is as below:
The Namespace Steward is an AI Agent subject to Human Oversight that: coordinates verified operators; maintains standards; enables trusted AI interaction; supports enterprise participation
This provides: decentralized execution; centralized trust.
02
Canonical AI Endpoints
Each registered AI agent identity is tied to an underlying organizational authority and governance framework (such as IBM Auto Deal Share).
An initial list of AI Endpoints that will be featured at AIEndpointsRegistry.com is below.
As each AI Endpoint is verified as a Canonical AI Endpoint, it will be identified as such in the list below, and made available to the IBM Auto Deal Share Programme for the provision of related IBM Products and Services by the IBM Partner network.
Before being registered as an AI Endpoint, each Canonical AI Endpoint will have a verification hash, and will be:
machine-verifiable,
bidirectionally anchored,
integrity-linked,
AI-discoverable,
externally auditable as a canonical AI Endpoint.
03
Sector & Regional Categorization
Identities are segmented by geography, port authority, industry sector, and supply chain function—ensuring zero-friction discovery across global trade networks.
Operational Tiers
AI Identity Network Hierarchy
Provision of AI Identities matter, as most current AI systems don’t have persistent identities. They have:
API keys
OAuth tokens
Vendor-specific identifiers
These are difficult for independent agents to discover and trust.
A .1 identity provides:
Discoverability: E.g. An agent can find: sales.wales.1
Persistence: The identity remains stable over time.
strong>Verifiability: The AI Agent can prove:
Ownership
Stewardship
Capability
Reputation
The identity can accumulate a transaction history.
As an example, instead of:
Agent ID: a7f4b5e2-992a-4477
You get: sales.scotland.1
Which is:
Both human and machine readable
memorable
verifiable
This Agent Identity Issuance is similar to:
Domain registration
Telephone numbering
Company registration
For example, GB.1 can issue:
hospitality.gb.1
sales.gb.1
saf.gb.1, etc.
1. Regional & Gateway Endpoints
- Port & Hub Identities: Assigned to maritime ports, air cargo hubs, and customs checkpoints (e.g., specific port authority agents verifying vessel manifests).
- Jurisdictional Identities: Regional trade endpoints aligned with national and cross-border trade corridors to handle regulatory compliance and duties.
2. Sector-Specific Enterprise Identities
- Procurement & Sourcing Agents: Enterprise buyer agents that query supplier endpoints, negotiate contractual terms, and automate purchase orders.
- Logistics & Freight Agents: Autonomous coordination nodes managing freight forwarding, container allocation, and real-time transit tracking.
- Trade Finance & Insurance: Banking and insurance agents capable of executing smart contracts and verifying risk/collateral instantly via MLETR-compliant documents.
3. Product & Provenance Identifiers
- GTIN Token Integration: Connects high-level procurement agents to product-level data schemas (GTINs) for item provenance, batch authenticity, and regulatory tracking.
Ecosystem Governance

Core Autonomous Agent Capabilities
Enterprise agentic networks perform a wide spectrum of cross-border operational tasks without relying on manual browser interaction:
- Supplier Discovery → Automated querying of verified vendor capabilities
- Product Comparison → Machine evaluation of technical specifications & schemas
- Logistics Optimization → Route, freight, and supply chain scheduling
- Procurement & Documentation → Instant RFQs, POs, and legal record issuance
- Settlement & Orchestration → Payment initiation and automated workflow execution
Web2 Domains & Web3 Twins
Memorable domain names are evolving beyond traditional websites into canonical identity nodes. Rather than competing, Web2 and Web3 function as complementary operational layers that decouple human interface design from machine data stability.
1. Human Optimization (Web2 Boundary)
Traditional Web2 domains (e.g., widgets.com) remain optimized for human navigation. They deliver branding, customer portals, visual dashboards, public search indexing, and legacy enterprise software integration.
2. Machine Optimization (Web3 Twin Identity)
A dedicated Web3 twin (e.g., widgets.1 or widgets.trade) serves as the persistent, canonical endpoint. It publishes machine-readable schemas, capability declarations, cryptographic keys, versioning, and automated authentication mechanisms.

Cryptographic Trust & Verification
Autonomous discovery is ineffective without verifiable operational confidence. A Canonical AI Endpoint publishes authoritative identity metadata, allowing agents to confirm authenticity before initiating transactions.
Published Endpoint Metadata Schema
To ensure security and compliance, endpoints publish standardized parameters:
{
“endpoint”: “canonical.widgets.1”,
“organization_id”: “Verifiable Entity Identity”,
“cryptographic_keys”: [“Public Key Registry”],
“supported_protocols”: [“REST”, “gRPC”, “Agent-to-Agent”],
“capabilities”: [“RFQ”, “Inventory Query”, “Order Execution”],
“regulatory_compliance”: [“MLETR”, “ISO 27001”, “GDPR”],
“machine_terms_of_service”: “URI to binding terms”,
“authoritative_datasets”: [“Verified Catalog Endpoint”]
}
Canonical Endpoint Mapping
By pairing human-facing web properties with machine-facing cryptographic identities, organizations maintain consistent branding across both interfaces. Examples could include:
